BEACHES OF PUERTO ESCONDIDO
Playa manzanillo. puerto angelito.
Two incredible cove beaches located directly below Casa Nopal — where the swimming is easy and the waters are warm. Playa Manzanillo (our pride and joy) provides some of the best snorkeling and swimming in Puerto as well offering fresh local seafood restaurants and LA ISLA BEACH CLUB - a newcomer to the area with great cocktails and daily live music.
PlAYA bacocho.
One of the most idyllic beaches in Puerto, this beach includes an unending strip of glistening sand and hues of blues and green in the sea that have to been seen to be believed. CLUB DE PLAYA VILLA SOL is located on Bacocho and offers resort like amenities including pools, tennis and a fantastic restaurant and bars.
Manzunte. SAN aGUSTINILLO. Zipolite.
Located about 1 hour and 15 minutes south of Puerto the three towns of Mazunte, San Agustinillo and Zipolite offer wonderful idyllic beaches and a rustic bohemian environment. Zipolite is of special note since it has Mexico’s only nude beach which (for whatever reason) also attracts a “cosmopolitan” crowd.
Playa zicatela.
A source of great pride in Puerto, Zicatela is a surfer’s paradise with great restaurants and bars to match. Zicatela is considered the third best surfing beach after Portrugal and Hawaii. Exercise extreme caution if you go in the waters and are not an experienced surfista/swimmer.
Playa carrizalillo.
Considered by some to be the most beautiful beach in Puerto and a 3 minute drive from Casa Nopal, Playa Carrizalillo has some of the most pristine waters on the west coast of Mexico. Find a day bed, soak up the sun and don’t forget what goes down must come up! All185 steps - when your done with you beach day.
La punta.
The bohemian capital of Puerto - La Punta brings seemingly south East Asian vibes to this incredible community. Think beach bars, yoga, surfistas, late night music and barefoot beach dancing under the stars. La Punta has you covered.
